Module learning outcomes

Identify and critically engage with key theoretical frameworks and debates from the literature relevant to digital technology, data and communications law

Recognise and explain the principal legal frameworks, institutions, and regulatory mechanisms shaping technology, data and communication sectors

Develop a critical understanding of the regulatory challenges and societal impacts arising from digital transformation in these sectors

Compare and evaluate different national and international approaches to the regulation of digital technology, data and communications, assessing their effectiveness and limitations

Demonstrate applied knowledge of legal and regulatory responses to contemporary issues, with the ability to analyse scenarios and identify potential solutions
